Drum twister is an important device for stranding wires and cables which is mainly used for stranding large-length and large-section power cables and milliken conductors. It can also be armored with steel wire or steel tape, or shielded with copper wire or copper tape.
This is currently a relatively advanced twisting equipment with high production efficiency, the speed is generally above 30m / min. The pay-off bobbins can be rotated synchronously with the take-up frame, or can be fixed without turning to realize back twist or non back twist. The take-up bobbin can simultaneously complete the double movement of twisting and take-up. The size of the take-up bobbin can reach up to 4000mm, which improves the production efficiency and expands the production range compared with ordinary stranding equipment.

The drum twister is driven by individual motors, with advanced design, reasonable structure, beautiful appearance, convenient operation, good process performance, high reliability, low failure rate and convenient maintenance,etc.
This equipment is mainly composed of central rotary pay-off, rotary pay-off, die holder, rotary caterpillar unit, rotary take-up and traverser, safety fence, electric control system,etc. We can also provide metal and non-metal wrapping devices, steel wire armoring devices, filling and longitudinal wrapping devices according to customer requirements.
The pay-off adopts a cradle-type double support structure with manually clamped bobbin which is lifted by the traveling vehicle. Pay-off tension is controlled by pneumatic friction, and the size is adjustable.
The rotary pay-off can be a fork-type cantilever structure or a cradle-type structure which is driven by an individual motor. It can rotate synchronously with the take-up, and can also be fixed without turning, so as to realize twisting or non-twisting. It can also be jogged manually. The pay-off tension is pneumatically controlled and can be arbitrarily adjusted in the stopped and running state. The bobbin clamp is shaftless and driven by an individual motor. Bobbin loading and unloading use fork-type hydraulic lifting platform. Using pneumatic brake. Each pay-off is equipped with an operation station, which can control the pay-off to rotate or stop.
The device adopts upper and lower multi-wedge belt traction form for pneumatic compaction and tension. The compaction and tension are adjusted by a pneumatic pressure regulating valve respectively. Independently driven by an AC variable frequency motor, the traction speed can be adjusted steplessly. The traction rotating body and the take-up rotating body share a motor, and synchronous rotation is achieved through mechanical transmission.
The rotary take-up adopts a fork-type supporting wheel, which is directly driven by an individual motor through a synchronous belt, and has the functions of left-right rotation and parking. The bobbin clamp is shaftless and driven by an individual motor. The take-up tension can be setted, modified, and displayed on the touch screen. And the take-up can jog forward and reversely. It adopts AC inverter motor cable and is controlled by inverter. The cable pitch can be set, modified and displayed on the touch screen. The cable direction is automatically switched and can be moved quickly. And can set left and right direction and jog function on the touch screen.
Using pneumatic brake device, and the bobbin loading and unloading system uses a fork-type hydraulic lifting platform, which is safe and reliable.
After the order established, we will send the layout drawing, foundation drawing, pipeline drawing and drawing of pneumatic and hydraulic device to our customer. Then they can design the basic foundation depth and structure according to the drawings. Customer also can perform basic installation of the equipment according to the layout and the preparation list we provided.
After the equipment was shipped on board, we will send a detailed operation manual to our customer, and then talk about the commissioning plan. We will send an experienced mechanical engineer firstly, he will assist customers in equipment installation, including drum twister head, traction, centralized pay-off, wire pay-off, etc., then grouting, and finally complete the work of air line, oil circuit and protection. The installation work takes about a month. After the installation work is completed, we will send the electrical engineer to carry out a one-month commissioning work. But before that, customers need to connect the pay-off devices, and prepare various specifications of conductors, steel tape, copper tape, wrapping materials and other materials, and various specifications of dies. After the electrical engineer arrives at the scene, it will check the line, enter the program, power on, start the equipment, etc., which will take about 20 days; the remaining 10 days will be used for various specifications of wire stranding and training for workers.

Q: Do you supply the installation and commissioning?
A: Yes, we do as followings:
-As soon as customer informed us the machines are put in the right place, we will send both mechanical and electrical engineer for machine start up.
-No-load testing: After machine installed completely, we make no-load testing first.
-With-load testing: Usually we will can produce 3 different wires to make load testing.
-Acceptance report: After the buyer confirms that machine can reach all specification under contract, the acceptance report will be signed for our record that machine will be in guarantee period.
Q: What information should I offer to get a detailed quotation from you?
A: For single machine: Usually we need to know inlet wire size, outlet wire size to be produced, productivity, pay off and take up size to choose the right machine.
For new cable plant or new cable production line, we need to know the datasheet of cables to be produced, the productivity, the standards to be followed, etc to design all machines needed.

Q: How do you work on the inspection before delivery?
